Zainab Balami is a freelance animation producer, scriptwriter and founder of Zazou Production Works, a boutique company dedicated to creating original animated IP. Miaowito loves that Zainab is driven by a passion for cultural diversity, and that she champions inclusive, empowering stories that reflect underrepresented voices. Zainab is the showrunner for The Adventures of Zaza, a Zazou Production Works flagship project in development co-produced with Yoruba Saxon and Argo Films. With strong expertise in character development, world-building and episodic storytelling, Zainab crafts narratives that aim to reshape global storytelling and inspire young audiences through rich, authentic and engaging content.
