Suraya Raja

Suraya Raja is an award-winning writer-director and a BAFTA Connect Member. Her love of storytelling led her to the National Film & Television School, where her graduation film won 15 awards and was selected for over 100 international festivals (including 6 BAFTA and 4 Oscar accredited).

Suraya has experience working as assistant animator, model-maker and puppet fabricator, having worked on Early Man and Shaun the Sheep (Aardman Animations), Rastamouse (Dinamo), as well as on TV series’, music videos and commercials.

Suraya draws on her background in mental health and psychology to create character-driven stories with authenticity and humour.
